MISSION

Training: Center for Bioethics will plan training programs for undergraduate and graduate students, continuing education for professionals, and public education and will conduct these programs via seminars, courses, conferences, and panels in cooperation with graduate schools and research centers of Hacettepe University.

Research: All bioethics analysis using for both education and research should be based on sound empirical evidences. For this reason incorporation with national and international institutes and centers is important. Center for Bioethics will plan, conduct and publish interdisciplinary, original, valid and reliable researches with qualitative and quantitative bioethics research methods such as surveys, ethnographic researches, historical analysis and legal analysis. 

Counseling: Center for Bioethics will ensure recognition of bioethical aspects of institutional and national policies; enlighten public for issues and problems of public controversies; try to establish framework rules in the area of bioethics. For these purposes, Center for Bioethics will conduct specialists’ workshops, form opinions and publish white papers.

Presentation: Informing national and international institutions, academicians, and public about activities and presenting field of activity and vision of Hacettepe Center for Bioethics.

As the first Turkish Center for Bioethics our vision is to become an internationally recognized and followed bioethics center and to become a first step of establishing a leader institute in changes and development of bioethics
